This week, it is expected to surpass its break-even point (2.2 million viewers). The humanistic story adapted from the original work and the powerful performances by the "trustworthy actors" hint at a long-term box office success.
Brad Pitt's 'F1: The Movie' (directed by Joseph Kosinski) ranked second at the box office. Over the same period, it attracted 136,383 viewers, exceeding 300,000 total viewers.
'King of Kings' (directed by Jang Seong-ho) and 'Bad Guys 2' (directed by Pierre Perifel) followed in third and fourth place, drawing 56,417 and 42,000 viewers, respectively.
'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' (directed by Kim Byung-woo) settled in fifth place, gathering 34,492 viewers. Despite utilizing an internationally successful original IP, it fell short of expectations.
Meanwhile, 'Zombie Daughter' starts with the premise of a spreading zombie virus. It tells the story of a father struggling to protect his daughter who has turned into a zombie.
