A Warm Heart Delivered to Firefighters with Livelihood Support Funds
A citizen from Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, performed a heartwarming act by using their livelihood support funds to deliver coffee to the staff of the local fire station.
This small gesture of appreciation for firefighters working tirelessly to ensure the safety of citizens, even in the midst of heat waves, is touching the local community.

According to reports from Ediyah Coffee on the 30th, 33-year-old Yoo Oh-kyun visited the Chuncheon Fire Station and various 119 safety centers on the 26th, distributing coffee purchased with his livelihood support funds of 180,000 won to the firefighters.
Starting from the Chuncheon Fire Station located in Hupyeong-dong at 9 AM and continuing for over two hours, Yoo visited the Hyoja 119 Safety Center, Soyang 119 Safety Center, and Sinbuk 119 Safety Center in succession.
He directly delivered iced Americanos to firefighters working on a hot weekend. Additionally, the remaining coffee was shared with nearby police station staff.
Yoo's actions were sparked by a casual encounter. While commuting home last week, he saw firefighters diligently working through the heat and decided to provide them with coffee using his livelihood support funds.

However, Yoo realized that purchasing a sufficient amount of coffee with 180,000 won would be difficult. Through a friend, he was introduced to the owner of the Ediyah Coffee shop in Yosun-dong, Chuncheon.
The cafe owner's cooperation made the good deed shine even brighter.
After Yoo explained his plan, the owner of Ediyah Coffee, Mr. A, readily agreed to assist, preparing a sufficient quantity of coffee for the firefighters for the amount of 180,000 won.
On the day of the delivery, Mr. A opened the cafe earlier than usual to prepare the coffee and even actively helped by retrieving ice from a nearby cafe when supplies ran low.

Initially, the firefighters were hesitant to accept, but they eventually accepted the coffee after Yoo's heartfelt request. The fire stations asked for Yoo's name and contact information to express their gratitude, but he declined, stating, "It's just a small act of kindness."
After distributing coffee for over two hours in the area, Yoo realized that he had not delivered coffee to Daeryong 119 Safety Center and Gangchon 119 Safety Center during his travels to other regions. He temporarily parked his car and ordered 9 and 8 cups of coffee, respectively, through a delivery app to ensure they received some as well.
In response to this story, Ediyah Coffee promised to provide Yoo Oh-kyun with a 1,000,000 won gift certificate and another 1,000,000 won worth of support to the Gangwon Provincial Government office.
Meanwhile, Mr. A plans to provide snacks as a gift that can be shared with customers.
