Suk Dong-hyun, Lawyer, Resigns from People Power Party Election Committee… "I Will Help Candidate Kim Moon-soo as a Regular Citizen"
Suk Dong-hyun, known as a legal representative of former President Yoon Seok-yeol and a friend of 40 years, has stepped down from the People Power Party election committee.
On the 17th, Suk announced via Facebook, “As of today, I am resigning from my position as the Special Chairperson for Civil Society of Candidate Kim Moon-soo’s election committee to help in this election as a regular citizen.”
Suk stated, "While resigning, I want to appeal to the People Power Party officials and party members, as well as to conservative and centrist citizens of the Republic of Korea, especially the right-wing youth. There are only 18 days left until the voting day based on the election date, and only about 10 days left until the early voting." He further called for active support for Candidate Kim Moon-soo.

Suk also compared Candidate Kim Moon-soo with Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate.
He pointed out, "In a situation where the election is so near, the vast majority of conservative and centrist citizens have been worried that it would be a disaster if someone who is on trial for a crime becomes president. Yet on our side, Candidate Kim Moon-soo is the only one who is running around tirelessly."
He added, "Candidate Kim Moon-soo is not only outstanding in all areas, such as morality, integrity, and national governance experience but also overwhelmingly contrasts with Candidate Lee Jae-myung."
He further mentioned, “Candidate Lee Jun-seok has assets worth 1.4 billion won, while Candidate Kim, who served as the governor of Gyeonggi Province twice, has only 1 billion won in assets.” He claimed that with just this differentiation, if the conservative and centrist supporters turn out to vote, Candidate Kim Moon-soo will surely be elected.

Appeal for Unity among Conservatives and Centrists… "Going to the Polls is the Winning Strategy"
Suk asserted, "This is not just a party of the leadership or the party members. It is a party that represents all voters among the conservative and centrist citizens of this country, regardless of party membership."
He continued, "There is a responsibility to respond to their political opinions and aspirations. And nothing can be thought of without their votes in the election."
Suk particularly emphasized, "Even those patriotic citizens who are trying to distance themselves from the party, labeling it as extreme right, are included. Even if they are called true conservatives, is there anyone who loves the country more than them?" He argued that their support is crucial.

Suk noted, "When conservatives or centrist citizens feel uncomfortable voting for the People Power Party's candidate, they tend to not go to the polls rather than voting for the opposing candidate." In this respect, he stated that their election strategy is straightforward. “We need to make sure that as many people as possible who think we must prevent the most anti-democratic party, the Democratic Party, from coming to power in our political history, go to the polls."
Finally, he conveyed, "To all the citizens and the National Lawyers’ Group, who tried to protect the president in the cold among places such as Hanam-dong, the Seoul Detention Center, Gwanghwamun, and Yeouido, as well as overseas, I ask you all to reflect on the deep meaning of President Yoon’s decision today and urge your whole family to make an effort to go to the polls without exception."
