President Yoon is expected to watch the impeachment trial live on TV from the residence in Hannam-dong, while his legal team will be present at the Constitutional Court.

Reactions to the Constitutional Court's Ruling and Police Preparedness

The Constitutional Court will announce its ruling on the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk-yeol at 11 a.m. on the 4th. If the Court accepts the impeachment motion, President Yoon will be immediately removed from office. If the motion is dismissed or rejected, he will return to his duties immediately.

As the divisions in public opinion have intensified since the last state of emergency, measures are being taken to prepare for any potential incidents following the ruling.

The police have declared a "second-level emergency," allowing mobilization of 50% of police forces starting at 9 a.m. on the day of the ruling. They will also institute the highest level of emergency work system, known as "first-level emergency," which allows for 100% mobilization of police forces nationwide on the day of the ruling.

Specifically, on the day of the ruling, police plan to mobilize about 14,000 personnel from approximately 210 mobile units, including criminal response teams and dialogue police. Additionally, around 30 special police forces will be deployed to prepare for potential terrorist or drone attacks.

Mobile units will also be stationed at key facilities such as the National Assembly, the Hannam-dong residence, the Yongsan Presidential Office, foreign embassies, the Prime Minister's residence, and major media outlets to prepare for any emergencies.

Meanwhile, according to the Constitutional Court on the 3rd, online applications to observe the impeachment trial have exceeded 90,000 as of 9 a.m. that day. With only 20 seats available for general observation, the overwhelming interest has set a record for the highest number of applications in the history of impeachment trials in the country.
