Actor Yoon Kye-sang is returning to the small screen. He has confirmed his appearance in a terrestrial drama.
On the 2nd, SBS unveiled the casting lineup for its new drama 'Try: We Become Miracles' (hereafter 'Try'). Yoon Kye-sang, Lim Se-mi, and Kim Yo-han have been selected as the main cast.
'Try' is the first domestic drama centered around rugby. It tells the story of youths who dedicate their lives to running and ball games, colliding with each other to create their own miracles.
Yoon Kye-sang will play Joo Ga-ram, the coach of Hanyang High School's rugby team. He was once the hope of Korean rugby but retired following a drug scandal. He returns as a coach to his alma mater.
This marks his first drama appearance in about 11 years. After 'The Full Sun' (2014) on KBS-2TV, he primarily worked in films, leaving a strong impression as Jang Chen in 'The Outlaws'.
Lim Se-mi will portray Bae Ji, the playing coach of Hanyang High School's shooting team. She is cursed with ambiguous talent and reunites with her ex-lover Joo Ga-ram amidst life's upheavals.
Kim Yo-han will take on the role of Yoon Sung-jun, the captain of Hanyang High School's rugby team. He is the twin brother of a junior national soccer player. Due to his slightly lacking talent, he switched to rugby.
Director Jang Young-seok and writer Lim Jin-ah are teaming up for this project. Director Jang co-directed 'Taxi Driver 2', and writer Lim is a winner of the SBS Cultural Foundation Script Contest Award.
Meanwhile, 'Try' is scheduled to premiere next year.
