Special Prosecutor's Office Conducts 9 Hours and 30 Minutes of Intensive Investigation… Questioning on Foreign Exchange and Abuse of Power Allegations
The special investigation team led by Cho Eun-seok, which is investigating the insurrection and foreign exchange incident related to the martial law on December 3, has summoned former President Yoon Seok-yeol for a second investigation. The entire process, from the start of the investigation to the review of the transcript, took approximately 14 hours and 30 minutes.
On the 5th, the special investigation team questioned former President Yoon for a total of 9 hours and 30 minutes, from 9:04 AM to 6:34 PM, focusing intensively on key allegations such as obstruction of the execution of arrest warrants (obstruction of special public duty), interference with the exercise of rights in government council deliberations and decisions (abuse of authority), and instructions regarding the deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles in Pyongyang (foreign exchange).
The actual investigation time, excluding lunch, was 8 hours and 30 minutes, during which intensive questioning of former President Yoon, a key suspect in the insurrection and foreign exchange case, continued.

The special investigation team reportedly focused on clarifying the facts related to the instructions for deploying unmanned aerial vehicles to secure a justification for martial law and the overall abuse of power.
After the investigation, former President Yoon spent about 5 hours reviewing the transcript, continuing even at the expense of skipping dinner. He completed the review around 11:30 PM and left at 11:54 PM.
The special investigation team plans to comprehensively review whether to summon former President Yoon again and their charging policies.
