Actors Yook Sung-jae, Kim Ji-yeon, and Kim Ji-hoon will meet in a fantasy rom-com.

The new SBS-TV drama 'Gui Gung' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a body-snatching fantasy rom-com. It tells the story of shaman Yeori, who rejects her fate as a medium, and Kang Cheol, an imugi trapped in the body of her first love, Yoon Gap, as they encounter the vengeful Palseokgui haunting the royal palace, causing their bodies and souls to become entangled.

Director Yoon Sung-sik, known for 'Mr. Queen,' 'The Best Lee Soon-shin,' 'Bridal Mask,' and 'Dae Jo-young,' will helm the project. Writer Yoon Soo-jung, who scripted 'The King's Face' and 'Sassy Go Go,' has joined forces with him. Joining them in lead roles are Yook Sung-jae, Kim Ji-yeon, and Kim Ji-hoon.

Yook Sung-jae will play the role of Yoon Gap. Cheol-gap is a court librarian who wants to protect the palace thrown into chaos by the trickery of the Palseokgui. He is Yeori's first love. Yoon Gap's body is taken over by the malevolent spirit imugi, who seeks to ascend to the heavens using Yeori's body.

Yook Sung-jae is expected to showcase a variety of acting skills, portraying an array of characters from the mischievous, human-hating imugi to the loyal and passionate scholar.

Kim Ji-yeon will play the shaman 'Yeori.' Yeori rejects her fate as a medium. As the only granddaughter of a famous shaman, she possesses remarkable spiritual abilities. However, her life becomes severely twisted after becoming entangled with the imugi who failed to become a dragon.

Nevertheless, her involvement in an unexpected incident begins when the imugi possesses the body of her first love, Yoon Gap. She steps into the palace, swarming with vengeful Palseokgui and other spirits.

Kim Ji-yeon will experience strong attraction and confusion while exorcising the Palseokgui alongside her arch-nemesis, the imugi. She is set to develop an intriguing love-hate relationship with Yook Sung-jae.

Kim Ji-hoon will portray King 'Lee Seong.' Lee Seong is a reformist monarch dreaming of a powerful Joseon and faces off against the vengeful Palseokgui. As ominous incidents continue to occur in the palace, he joins forces with Yoon Gap and the shaman Yeori to uncover the secrets of the Palseokgui.

This marks Kim Ji-hoon's debut as a king. He plans to add gravity to the series with his intense charisma and presence. His unique bromance with Yoon Gap will provide additional entertainment.

'Gui Gung' is set to air next year.
