Actress Yeom Hye-ran has opened the curtain on 'Bokssak Sogassda'.

Yeom Hye-ran appeared in the Netflix series 'Bokssak Sogassda' (script by Lim Sang-chun, directed by Kim Won-seok), which was released on the 7th. She plays Jeon Gwang-rye, the mother of Aesoon (played by IU).

She pressed the viewers' tear button. Gwang-rye is a character living a life as a laborer, struggling to support her family while cherishing her strong daughter with deep affection.

Her performance was remarkable, leaving no room for a mere special appearance. She depicted the mother’s strength with eyes full of determination. When looking at Aesoon, she brought warmth with a subtle smile.

An insider commented, "Yeom Hye-ran evoked empathy in Gwang-rye’s heart while reminding us of the boundless love received from a mother. She created intergenerational empathy."

Meanwhile, 'Bokssak Sogassda' is a work that unfolds the lives of Aesoon and Gwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum) across the four seasons. Episodes 5 to 8 will be released on the 14th.
