"Translate the yellow sign. Illegal passport issuance" (Comment excerpt)
The web entertainment program 'Workdol' exposed the illegal activities of a merchant and deleted it after a delay.
On the YouTube channel 'Workman,' a video titled "I'm a new police officer, and I'm going to Garibong-dong!?" was uploaded on the 24th. 'Billie' Tsuki challenged himself to be a temporary police officer.
On that day, Tsuki appeared wearing a police uniform. He was assigned to work at a police station in Garibong-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, and patrolled various neighborhoods alongside current police officers.
The problematic scene emerged during the patrol process. The sign at a telecommunications agency near the market captured the phrase '非法护照开卡' which translates to "illegal passport issuance" in Korean.
There were allegations that this agency was involved in illegally issuing passports and activating cell phones for undocumented immigrants. The fact that the police were unaware of this also sparked controversy.
The 'Workman' team edited out certain scenes in response to these criticisms. They commented, "We reported the details of the specific store that was brought to our attention to the relevant police station. That segment has been deleted."
