
Singer WOODZ (Jo Seung-yun) has reached the top of the Melon Top 100 chart. WOODZ achieved first place on the Melon main chart Top 100 as of midnight on the 7th with his song "Drowning." This track first entered the chart in October of last year and has maintained a steady rise, consistently staying in the top tier. Additionally, he has achieved notable results on major music platforms, ranking first on Genie, YouTube Music, and Apple Music.

"Drowning" is a song included in his mini album released in April 2023. WOODZ participated in the lyrics and composition of the song, which expresses the sorrow of having lost a loved one. The resurgence in popularity has been ongoing for seven months. A video of his special stage for the Armed Forces Day episode of KBS-2TV’s "Immortal Songs," aired in October last year, has surpassed 12.6 million views, marking a new peak during his military service.
Meanwhile, WOODZ is set to be discharged on July 21 and will then perform at Japan's largest music festival, "Summer Sonic 2025."
