Recently, a recording of a female teacher from a high school in Incheon making remarks about childbirth compared to men's military duty during class has surfaced on social media, causing a stir.

The recording features Teacher A expressing negative remarks about a past Constitutional Court ruling declaring the military point system unconstitutional, stating it was “the worst ruling I know of."

She continued, "Men go to jail if they do not serve in the military, but women do not go to jail if they do not have children," and argued, "If women of childbearing age do not give birth, it is only fair to send them to jail." She added, "The birth rate has decreased because giving birth is not mandatory."

The remarks were reportedly made during a 'Politics and Law' class for second-year high school students on the 17th.

Netizens who saw the post criticized, "The qualifications of this teacher are seriously questionable," "This is an extremely inappropriate remark," and "The school must discipline this."

Upon learning about the incident, the Incheon City Office of Education and the school immediately began investigating. A school official stated, "We are currently investigating after receiving a report from Teacher A," adding, "If problems are revealed after verifying the facts, we will consider disciplinary actions."
