'Koyote' member Shinji's fiancé, singer Moonwon (36, Park Sang-mun), has opened up about various allegations and controversies. This comes just a day after a video revealing his past relationship was released.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, Moonwon posted a lengthy message on Instagram. "I am writing this to sincerely convey my feelings to everyone. I needed time to confirm the exact facts," he began.
Shinji and Moonwon shared a meet-and-greet content with Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Baekga through YouTube's 'How Do You Feel?' on the 2nd. This was the first time Kim Jong-min and Baekga met Moonwon.
The issue was Moonwon's attitude. Netizens pointed out his inappropriate behavior, such as calling Shinji, who is seven years older, "Jisun," wearing sweats to meet the members, and making a disrespectful joke about Kim Jong-min's belly by saying it was "age-related weight."
After the video was released, netizens unanimously expressed concern. Comments on the 'How Do You Feel?' video, as well as various social media and online communities, all shouted opposition to the marriage.
Moonwon apologized, stating, "I deeply reflect on my careless behavior in the video. I failed to consider the feelings of many who love Shinji, as she is the closest person to me."
He continued, "I also feel I have shown a lack of respect to older brothers Kim Jong-min and Baekga, and I sincerely apologize." He bowed his head and said, "I apologize to Koyote fans who may have felt discomfort and disappointment."
Moonwon's past has also come under scrutiny. One netizen wrote on YouTube, "Moonwon worked in real estate without a license as a face for the company."
Moonwon acknowledged his experience at a brokerage office. "I started at a friend's suggestion to make a living during my obscure years. I did not realize that working without a license was a mistake, and it was my fault."
There was also a significant comment suggesting he should "check the divorce records." However, it is known that Moonwon and his ex-wife divorced by mutual consent.
He admitted to a premarital pregnancy, stating, "It is true that I married due to a premarital pregnancy with my ex-wife, but the claim that I had other relationships during that time is not true."
He strongly denied allegations of school bullying and assaulting juniors during his military service. "This is not true at all, and if necessary, I am willing to reveal objective evidence that can prove this," he emphasized.
The allegation of changing his name three times was also false. "Park Sang-mun is my real name," he said, adding, "I only changed my stage name from Kyeron to Moonwon, and I have never changed my real name."
Finally, he concluded, "I sincerely ask that you refrain from unverified speculations and the spread of false information," and stated, "I will reflect on my shortcomings and strive to be a more responsible person while living with Shinji."
Meanwhile, Shinji and Moonwon are expected to marry in the first half of next year. The two first met as host and guest on the radio program 'Single Bungle Show' in 2023 and developed a serious relationship.
