The British band Oasis has become embroiled in controversy over the display of the Rising Sun Flag.

On the 8th, Oasis posted a video lasting about 30 seconds on social media, which stated, "Check out the new visuals for 'Morning Glory'."

The video features a collage of images along with their 1995 release, 'Morning Glory.' Several visuals reminiscent of the Rising Sun Flag were captured in the footage. The Rising Sun Flag is a military flag used by Japan during its invasion of Asia, symbolizing Japanese militarism and evoking historical pain for the invaded countries.

Netizens from South Korea and China expressed their outrage, criticizing, "How can you display the Rising Sun Flag that is so offensive?" and "Does it make sense to include the Rising Sun Flag, which is identical to Nazi symbols, in a music video?"

Moreover, Oasis is set to perform in South Korea for the first time in 16 years, scheduled to hold the 'Oasis Live-25 Tour' this coming October. Liam Gallagher's racial discrimination allegations have also resurfaced, as he posted the term 'Ching Chong,' a derogatory term for East Asians, on social media last month.

After the online uproar, they belatedly issued an apology, stating, "It was not intentional. I apologize if anyone was offended," and added, "I love you all."

Meanwhile, Oasis is a legend in Britpop. The band disbanded in 2009 due to conflicts between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher but announced their reunion last year. They are currently on a world tour.
