Actors Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon will become the new faces of the Blue Dragon Awards. The Blue Dragon Film Awards Secretariat announced on the 24th that Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon have been confirmed as the MCs for the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony, which will be held at KBS Hall in Seoul on November 29.
The two actors will highlight Korean films that have shone on the screen this year. Following in the footsteps of Kim Hye-soo, they will support these films, production teams, and actors, and reflect on their achievements.
Han Ji-min debuted in 2003 with the drama "All In," where she played the young version of Min Su-yeon (played by Song Hye-kyo). She made her screen debut in the 2005 film "Blue Swallow."
She has appeared in numerous works, including "Cadaver," "The Fatal Encounter," and "The Age of Shadows," before starring in "Miss Baek." She won Best Actress at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her role as Baek Sang-ah.
Han Ji-min expressed her gratitude, saying, "I have deep respect for senior Kim Hye-soo," and added, "I will do my best to uphold the tradition and dignity that she has established without falling short."
Lee Je-hoon entered the industry with the 2006 short film "Truth, Litmus." He won Best New Actor at the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role in the 2011 film "Bleak Night."
He has traversed various genres and characters, continuing his transformation in films such as "The Front Line," "Architecture 101," "Anarchist from Colony," "I Can Speak," and "Escape from Mogadishu."
Lee Je-hoon stated, "As this is a festival for filmmakers, I will prepare diligently to not bring any shame. I will do my best to uphold the prestige of the Blue Dragon Film Awards."
The 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held at KBS Hall on November 29 and will be broadcast live on KBS-2TV.
