A 60-Year-Old Arrested for Carrying a Weapon after Using Drugs, Caught with the Help of a Taxi Driver's Wit
A taxi driver helped apprehend a drug offender carrying a weapon by using his exceptional instincts to take him to the police station.
On the 4th of this month, the Daegu Suseong Police Station announced the arrest of a man in his 60s, referred to as A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act by using methamphetamine.
A was confirmed to have displayed strange behavior while riding in a taxi, carrying a weapon after using drugs.

According to the police, A boarded a taxi at around 9:57 AM on the 3rd of the month after using methamphetamine. He was in possession of a weapon while entering the taxi.
A subsequently muttered phrases like "Someone is trying to kill me," which struck the taxi driver as odd. The driver, using his wit, drove to the police station and reported the situation.
Marijuana Offender Found to Test Positive for Methamphetamine

As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that A had a criminal record related to marijuana, and a rapid drug test conducted at the scene showed a positive result for methamphetamine.
A stated during questioning that he had used methamphetamine three days prior at home.

Additionally, when police apprehended A, his bag contained an empty syringe and a weapon. However, since there was no victim, the police did not apply any charges related to these items.
During police questioning, A stated, "I was scared that someone might kill me, so I carried the weapon in my bag."
