“While attending the trial, Yoon waved at supporters and then asked a reporter, ‘Could you not block my way?’”

Yesterday (16th), the 7th trial regarding the charge of rebellion was held at the Seoul Central District Court.

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol attended the 7th trial presided over by the 25th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Ji Kyu-yeon), where he is facing charges of being the mastermind behind the rebellion and obstructing the exercise of public office rights.

This trial is the first to be held after the appointment of a special prosecutor related to rebellion, Kim Geon-hee, and the fallen Marines, which drew significant public interest.

While moving in silence in response to reporters' questions, Yoon suddenly stopped.

After the trial, former President Yoon did not respond to reporters' questions as he exited the courthouse.

When reporters asked, "Will you comply if the special prosecutor requests to summon you?" and "Did you give orders to draft the martial law proclamation?" former President Yoon headed towards the courthouse building without answering.

However, during his movement, he briefly paused, smiled at his supporters, raised his hand to greet them, and shot back, "No, could you please not block the way for these people (supporters)?"

He then proceeded to his vehicle without answering any further questions.

Witness examination of former Defense Ministry military adviser Kim Chul-jin

During this trial, the witness examination of former Defense Ministry military adviser Kim Chul-jin was also conducted.

Former adviser Kim had a close relationship with former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun and testified in court that after the National Assembly passed the resolution to lift the state of emergency on December 4 of last year, former President Yoon told Minister Kim, "We should have sent 1,000 soldiers to the National Assembly."

This statement is expected to provide important clues related to former President Yoon's charge of being the mastermind behind the rebellion.
