'Red Velvet' Wendy is making a solo comeback.

Ascend announced on the 24th, "Wendy will make her comeback in September. Since this is her long-awaited solo return, she is preparing diligently, so we ask for your support and interest."

Wendy will return approximately 1 year and 6 months after her mini album 'Wish You Hell'. This will notably be her first release since signing an exclusive contract with Ascend.

Previously, Wendy dominated various global charts with 'Wish You Hell', reaching number one on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 21 countries and topping the QQ Music digital album sales chart in China.

She is active across various fields, from entertainment shows to radio. She shines as a versatile entertainer in KBS-2TV's music variety show 'Bang Sale Music: Anywhere is Kayo' and in the YouTube content 'Today is Wendy'.

Meanwhile, on April 10, Wendy ended her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, which she had been with for 10 years, and moved to Ascend.
