Kim Moon-soo, Former Minister, Appears on SNL Korea to Criticize Lee Jae-myung
Former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo has drawn attention in the political arena by likening former leader of the Democratic Party, Lee Jae-myung, to "sour yogurt" as he announced his candidacy for the 21st presidential election.
Kim appeared on the segment "Branch Manager is Coming" of Coupang Play's "SNL Korea 7," which aired on the 19th.
The segment featured actress Ji Yeo-eun interviewing part-time job applicants while taking on the role of a convenience store branch manager.

Dressed as a convenience store employee and appearing at the cash register, Kim was asked by Ji Yeo-eun to choose who he thought among former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, and former leader Lee Jae-myung was the most problematic part-time worker. He pointed to Lee Jae-myung.
He criticized, "He tells too many lies, or he acts like a bachelor even though he’s a married man—such things are not right. I have never done that."
When asked to compare Lee Jae-myung to a convenience store food item, he bluntly responded, "Very sour yogurt. It should be thrown away."
On the other hand, regarding former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, he remarked, "He is like very refreshing Hong Cola. It's enjoyable, but if you consume too much, it’s not good."
Kim also expressed his friendship with Hong, saying, "We have been very close and served together as lawmakers."

When asked about "applicants who seem like they could work well together," he answered, "I think anyone close to us, like former Mayor Hong or People Power Party member Nak-yeon Na, could work with us."
He added, "As long as they don't make us lie, and as long as there are no sudden suspicious deaths for not following orders, anyone can work together."
Honest Assessment and Views on Minimum Wage
In a question related to the minimum wage, he stated, "It would be better to raise it at least to the point that small business owners close their doors less often. The economy is not in a good state right now," emphasizing a cautious approach given the economic situation.
On that day, Kim also created a three-line poem featuring "Han Duck-soo":
"Dear citizens of Korea," "You must choose someone with virtue," "Among many people, it is Kim Moon-soo."
Kim Moon-soo's statements reflect a strong critical stance towards former leader Lee Jae-myung within the People Power Party's primary process, indicating that fierce exchanges between the ruling and opposition parties are expected in the upcoming presidential race.
