Traffic Accident Leads to Death of U.S. Soldier in Pyeongtaek
A U.S. Army sergeant died in a traffic accident in Pyeongtaek while driving his vehicle, getting wedged between a utility pole and a concrete wall.

According to the Pyeongtaek Police Station on the 28th, the accident occurred around 10:17 PM on the 27th, when A, a soldier in his 20s, crashed his Infiniti vehicle into a parked truck's bumper on a road in Sinjang-dong, Pyeongtaek.
After the collision, the Infiniti vehicle surged toward the sidewalk and came to a stop wedged between the concrete wall and the utility pole.
Approximately 40 minutes after the accident, at 11:01 PM, A was found in cardiac arrest by firefighters who responded to the scene.
The emergency crew immediately transported A to a nearby hospital, but he ultimately died during treatment.
Investigation Underway… Possibility of Speeding Raised

The Pyeongtaek Police reported that at the time of the accident, there were no violations of traffic laws, such as alcohol or drug use, found on A. However, authorities suspect that A may have been driving above the speed limit at the time of the accident.
A police official explained, "To determine the precise cause of the accident, we plan to conduct an autopsy on the body to identify the specific cause of death."
