JYP Entertainment's global girl group 'VCHA' has announced a rebranding. They have unveiled a new start under the name 'GIRLSET.'
On the 7th, JYP released the new film and logo design for 'GIRLSET.' Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savannah will now target the global market under the team name 'GIRLSET.'
The members have broken a hiatus of about 1 year and 5 months. In the new film, they presented a fun and relaxed vibe, expressing a range of emotions with scenes of tears and injured faces.
At the end of the video, the phrase "We’re setting who we are" was used to convey their identity. JYP explained, "The group name 'GIRLSET' contains the meaning of defining a limitless future and significance on their own without constraints."
Meanwhile, VCHA was born as a girl group through a collaborative project between JYP and Universal Music's 'Republic Records' in the United States. They had their pre-debut in September 2023 as a six-member group.
However, two members have left. Kaylee halted her activities due to health issues last March, and KG began a lawsuit for contract termination with JYP last December after leaving the team.
VCHA's last activity was in March of last year when they promoted their second single 'Only One.'
