Seventeen supports young people around the world by partnering with UNESCO.
Since last June, Seventeen has been active as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador. On the 12th, they began recruiting participants for the 'Global Youth Grant Scheme'.
The 'Global Youth Grant Scheme' is a program that provides financial support and mentoring specifically for youth. It aids young people in dreaming of a better future and engaging in various activities.
Seventeen has stepped in to implement the project, taking on a portion of the costs. When they were appointed as Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, they announced their intention to donate $1 million (approximately 1.3 billion KRW).
Thanks to such donations, the ‘Going Together – For Youth Creativity & Well-Being’ initiative has been newly launched.
This project will be carried out through the mediums of music, arts, and sports. It aims to enhance youth confidence and resilience, develop creative communities, and improve youth mental health.
Seventeen upholds the values of 'Going Together'. They expressed their pride, stating, "As UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, we are proud to announce the launch of programs for the youth."
They voiced their support for young people globally, saying, "Seventeen will stand by your side. We will walk with you toward your dreams," cheering them on for the future.
Meanwhile, Seventeen is set to make their comeback with their 12th mini-album this October. Member Jeonghan will not be participating due to his mandatory military service, and Jun will be missing due to activities in China.
