The program 'Under 15', which was canceled due to allegations of child sexual commercialization, has also failed to be scheduled by KBS Japan.

On the 9th, KBS Japan stated, "We received scheduling intentions and have been discussing the scheduling premise after internal and external reviews and various consultations. However, considering the serious public sentiment both domestically and internationally, we have ultimately decided not to schedule it."

'Under 15' was set to air on MBN on March 31. After the participant profiles and trailers were released, the controversy over child sexual commercialization arose, leading to the cancellation of its airing on MBN.

Recently, KBS Japan's YouTube channel released 'KBS World’s Recommended Works for August 2025.' It was revealed that 'Under 15' has been renamed to 'A Star is Born' and the airing has been reinitiated.

'A Star is Born' is the world's first generational shift audition aimed at discovering K-pop prodigies under the age of 15. Having failed to resolve the child sexual commercialization controversy, it has once again been thwarted from being scheduled.
