U.S. Media Show Interest in ‘Kickflip’ Debut… K-pop Rookie to Watch in 2025

The rookie boy group 'KickFlip' has attracted attention in the United States even before their debut.

On the 5th (KST), Grammy.com released "8 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Watch In 2025" on its official website.

Grammy introduced, "KickFlip is JYP Entertainment's new boy group completed after a long time since the audition program 'LOUD' in 2021." There has been anticipation for their official debut. Grammy expressed excitement, stating, "KickFlip announced their 2025 debut promotion at the '2024 MAMA Awards' last November."

KickFlip announced the release of their first mini-album 'Flip it, Kick it!' on the 6th. They revealed member profiles, album schedulers, and pre-release music videos.

Particularly, the music video for the track "Yes, Okay" received a hot response immediately after its release. The members displayed a free vibe and energetic performance, boasting high addictiveness.

As of the morning of the 7th, the music video ranked 9th on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide and 3rd on Korea's YouTube Popularity Rising Videos, drawing attention from listeners.

KickFlip is a seven-member group consisting of Kyunghoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, KJ, and Donghyun. They boast unique charms for each member and have received expectations from foreign media.

The team name refers to a high-level trick of flipping a board 360 degrees with the toes. Like a kickflip, the members are hinting at new performances not bound by the conventional.

They are entering the countdown to their official debut. They will release dance practice videos, introduction films, concept photos, tracklist posters, track videos, and music video teasers.

Meanwhile, KickFlip will release their new album on major music sites at 6 PM on the 20th.
