TOMORROW X TOGETHER swept the main charts of Japan's Oricon.
According to Oricon's latest tally (as of the 15th), TOMORROW X TOGETHER ranked first on the 'Weekly Single Ranking' with their new Japanese single 'CHIKAI.'
A total of 350,000 copies were sold during the tally period (from the 1st to the 7th). Considering that 'CHIKAI' was released on the 3rd, it ranked high within just five days.
It also marks the highest weekly sales for a foreign artist's single in Japan this year. On the first day of the album release alone, 300,982 copies (according to Oricon) were sold.
This proved their strong album power in the local market. Following their previous work 'GOOD BOY GONE BAD,' they surpassed 300,000 copies in initial sales for two consecutive works.
'CHIKAI' not only topped the weekly chart but also took first place on the 'Daily Single Ranking' (as of the 7th). It briefly dropped to second place but reclaimed the top spot within two days.
The single includes three songs in total: two new songs and the Japanese version of 'Déjà Vu.' The title track is 'We'll Never Change.'
It became a topic even before its official release. 'We'll Never Change' was selected as the theme song for NTV's 'DayDay.' and met viewers throughout July.
After releasing the new album, TOMORROW X TOGETHER has been focusing on activities in Japan. They appeared on Fuji TV's '2024 FNS Music Festival Summer' and NTV's 'The Music Day.'
On the 12th, they will perform live on TV Asahi's 'Music Station,' on the 13th on TBS's 'Music Day 2024,' and on August 12th on Fuji TV's 'Mezamashi Live.'
They are also preparing for their first Japanese Dome Tour 'ACT: SWEAR IN JAPAN.' They will tour Tokyo Dome, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Mizuho PayPay Dome.
They will perform in Japan's four major domes in the shortest period (1955 days) after debuting as a Korean artist. Starting with Tokyo Dome on the 10th-11th, they will hold eight concerts in four cities.
