TWICE has declared war against the crime of illegal deepfake videos.

JYP Entertainment announced on the 30th, "Deepfake videos of our artists are spreading. We take this very seriously. It is a clear illegal act."

They have announced a strong response. "We are currently collecting evidence," they said, "and we are proceeding with a strong legal response with no leniency, together with a professional law firm."

There will be no settlements related to illegal deepfake videos. "We will not tolerate any actions that infringe on our artists' rights and interests. We will respond firmly until the end."

Recently, the crime of synthesizing obscene materials with women's faces has been spreading. Girl group members are also affected, including TWICE, Kwon Eun-bi, and former Brave Girls member Yujeong.

Kwon Eun-bi previously filed criminal charges against those distributing obscene fake photos of her. "We have submitted the first complaint. The police are currently investigating," they explained.

They also urged active reports from fans. "If you find malicious posts or clear criminal acts targeting our artists, please report them to the official account," they said.

Yujeong voiced her distress on a program last February. "I found out from a friend's report that my photo was used in a deepfake. That photo is still circulating," she said.

She added, "I felt really bad." She expressed her discomfort, "It's not just my issue; I think anyone, whether female or male, can be a victim."
