TWICE has stepped forward to help children with incurable diseases both domestically and internationally.

Since 2019, JYP has been running the ‘EDM’ (Every Dream Matters!) project, which emotionally supports children with incurable diseases.

Recently, TWICE created memories with three children suffering from illnesses. Kim Seung-hwan (19), who is battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy, went on a tour of the company building and met the members in person.

TWICE gave him an album with their autographs. Seung-hwan’s wish was to wake up to the members’ voices in the morning. TWICE gifted him a one-of-a-kind alarm bell.

Kim Seung-hwan said, “It was an unforgettable day. It was a day I could ask everything I was curious about, talking with TWICE sisters. I think I can be encouraged by remembering this Wish Day in the future.”

The group also held virtual meetings with children abroad. Yentso Yang (20) from Hong Kong, who is battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma, prepared dances to ‘One Spark’ and ‘Cheer Up’ to show to the members.

Yentso Yang said, “It was an honor and a happiness to dance in front of my role models, TWICE. Their encouragement motivated me to pursue my dreams, greatly impacting my self-esteem and confidence.”

Wan Lok Xi Yang (21) from Hong Kong, diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and studying nursing, confessed that TWICE has been a great strength. The members fulfilled her wish by singing ‘One In A Million’ for her.

Wan Lok Xi Yang expressed, “I was really touched when they sang the song that brightened my darkness when I was stressed and depressed.”

TWICE said, “We are thankful that you wished to meet us. It seems we gain more encouragement and strength instead. We will continue to work hard and repay you with our activities.”

JYP continues to run the EDM project, with its artists communicating with children with incurable diseases and inviting them to concerts. Until last year, a total of 271 children have been supported.

Meanwhile, TWICE topped the U.S. Billboard main chart ‘Billboard 200’ with their new song ‘With YOU-th’. They will hold an encore performance of their world tour ‘Ready to Be’ in Las Vegas on the 16th.
