**Twenty-Something Inmate Found Dead in Cheongju Women's Prison, Correction Authorities Launch Investigation**
A female inmate in her twenties, who was serving time for the crime of filial murder, was found dead in solitary confinement at Cheongju Women's Prison, prompting an investigation by correction authorities.
According to the Ministry of Justice on the 20th, the inmate, referred to as A, attempted to take her own life in the bathroom of her solitary cell at around 8 PM on the 16th.

A was reportedly serving time since last year for the charge of filial murder.
At that time, staff member B discovered A in a state of decreased consciousness and immediately transported her to a nearby hospital; however, she ultimately passed away.

On the day of the incident, it was reported that B conducted patrols in accordance with Ministry of Justice regulations, which requires checks to be carried out more than once an hour.
