Actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin team up in a mystery melodrama. They become a temporary couple for the Netflix series 'Trunk.'

'Trunk' is based on the novel of the same title by writer Kim Ryeo-ryeong. It tells the story of a mysterious marriage service uncovered by a trunk floating on a lakeside.

Director Kim Kyu-tae, known for 'Our Blues' and 'It's Okay, That's Love,' leads the project. Writer Park Eun-young of 'Hwarang' joins in.

The series delves deep into the complex emotions of characters entangled in marriage. It is expected to portray love, compassion, salvation, obsession, desire, loneliness, and emptiness with intensity.

Gong Yoo takes on the role of 'Han Jeong-won,' a man who becomes intensely lonely after marriage. Seo Hyun-jin plays 'Noh In-ji,' who ends up alone because of marriage.

In the teaser poster, both actors display an arid expression. The tagline, "A secretive marriage entangled with real and fake, everything intertwined," piques curiosity.

The trailer portrays the first meeting between Jeong-won and In-ji. In-ji begins another marriage, lugging the trunk with familiarity, as she enters the home of her fifth husband, Jeong-won.

Jeong-won, showing displeasure, asks, "Should I call you wife?" thus initiating a one-year contract-based marriage guided by a manual.

The presence of Han Jeong-won's ex-wife Lee Seo-yeon (played by Jeong Yoon-ha) also holds significance. Seo-yeon tells In-ji, "Be happy. It's the punishment and vacation I'm giving to Jeong-won."

Particularly eye-catching is the mysterious trunk sinking deep underwater. With a dry expression, In-ji repeatedly says, "I find marriage repulsive," heightening intrigue.

'Trunk' will be released worldwide on Netflix on November 29.
