“Trigger,” Netflix Series Ranked 4th… “Kim Nam-gil X Kim Young-kwang, It’s Hot”

Actor Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang have captivated global viewers.

The Netflix series "Trigger" (written and directed by Kwon Oh-seung and co-directed by Kim Jae-hoon) was released on the 25th. According to 'Tudum', the series ranked 4th in the global Top 10 series (non-English).

It recorded 2.9 million viewership in just three days since its release (the number of views divided by the running time of the show). The total viewing time during the counting period (from the 21st to 27th) reached 22.5 million hours.

The drama also topped the 'Top 10 series in South Korea'. It made it to the Top 10 in 20 countries worldwide, including the Dominican Republic, Romania, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Taiwan.

"Trigger" is an action disaster thriller that starts from a unique premise where illegal firearms are delivered across South Korea. The story follows two men who pick up guns for their own reasons.

The highlight points are the refreshing action scenes featuring Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang. Kim Nam-gil plays the role of Lee Do, a police officer who takes up arms to uphold justice. Kim Young-kwang portrays Moon Baek, a weapons broker.

The relationship between these characters kept viewers engaged until the end. The twist in narrative from cooperation to conflict maximized the catharsis of the drama and underscored its quality.
