Netflix series 'Trigger' has canceled its online fan event livestream. This decision is assumed to be made considering public sentiment, given that the drama revolves around illegal firearms.

On the 21st, Netflix stated to 'Dispatch', "We have decided to cancel the Naver livestream talk for 'Trigger' scheduled for the 22nd. However, the offline event with the fans who have applied will proceed as planned."

'Trigger' is a disaster action thriller centered around firearms. It tells the story of illegal guns being delivered in South Korea, a nation known for its strict gun control. Kim Nam-gil (playing Lee Do) and Kim Young-kwang (playing Moon Baek) both wield firearms in the drama for their own reasons.

Coincidentally, on the 20th, a real-life homemade firearm incident occurred in South Korea. A man in his 60s, referred to as A, killed his son B with an illegal firearm in an apartment in Songdo, Incheon. A fled the scene immediately after the crime but was apprehended about three hours later.

According to the police, 15 explosives were found in A's home. It was also reported that 11 homemade firearms and 86 rounds of ammunition were discovered in A's vehicle. The police indicated that "A stated he purchased pipes and fabricated the firearms."

Meanwhile, the 'Trigger' team is set to hold an offline event on the 22nd, which Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang will attend. 'Trigger' will be released on Netflix on the 25th.
