Korean People's Power Party Convention, Chaos from Factional Conflicts
The joint speech session of the Korean People's Power Party convention was held in Daejeon, but internal conflicts escalated, turning the venue into chaos.
Supporters divided into the so-called "pro-chant" and "anti-chant" factions exchanged loud accusations of "traitor" towards each other, vividly illustrating the party's division.
Amidst this, YouTuber Jeon Han-gil, who has recently been at the center of controversy, was barred from entering the event and instead conducted a live broadcast on YouTube, claiming that the convention was successful thanks to him.

On the 13th, the Korean People's Power Party's joint speech session for the Chungcheong and Honam regions took place in Daejeon. Jeon was once again unable to enter the venue and turned on YouTube outside.
He received a ban from entry for inciting the chant of "traitor" against the "pro-chant" candidates during the joint speech session in Daegu and Gyeongbuk on the 8th.
Jeon stated, "Wherever Jeon Han-gil goes, it becomes a media issue, so the Korean People's Power Party convention should also be successful, right? That way, it gets more attention from the public…" making the absurd claim that the convention was a hit because of him.
On the 12th, Jeon also conducted a live broadcast from a hotel in Busan, saying, "It was all Jeon Han-gil news today. Even though the convention was held at Bexco, it seems there were discussions about Jeon Han-gil everywhere," and added, "Jeon Han-gil and the Korean People's Power Party are still in the news quite a bit, and I think it has greatly helped the success of the event. Jeon Han-gil sacrificed himself for this," praising himself again.

During the speech session, loud voices continued. Candidate for party leader Jang Dong-hyuk exclaimed, "Everyone you are pointing fingers at, including Jeon Han-gil, are the people who said they would protect our party during that winter," publicly praising Jeon.
On the other hand, candidate Jo Kyeong-tae intensified his criticism by saying, "The couple Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Seok-yeol have turned the ruling party into a monstrous level, and they are the traitors, everyone!" raising the stakes of the assault.
Candidate Ahn Cheol-soo also charged, "Mr. Kim Moon-soo and Mr. Jang Dong-hyuk, how can you win the trust of the majority of the people while advocating for martial law?" sharpening his tone.

Ethics Committee Issues 'Warning' to Jeon Han-gil
Meanwhile, the Central Ethics Committee of the Korean People's Power Party decided on the 13th to issue a 'warning' to Jeon Han-gil.
Lee Sang-won, chair of the Ethics Committee, stated, "After listening to Jeon's explanation for about 20 minutes, we confirmed that the facts reported by the media differ from what Jeon was saying. The media claimed that Jeon incited the chant of traitor, but it was confirmed that he, while sitting in the press seats, impulsively approached the party members' seats and shouted traitor when party members were already shouting it," he explained.
A warning is the weakest form of disciplinary action, following expulsion, urging to leave the party, and suspension of party membership. Jeon reportedly expressed his position that he would accept any decision the Ethics Committee makes, including expulsion.
