Tours proved they are the best rookie of the year. On the 6th, Billboard Japan released their 2024 annual chart. Tours entered both albums released this year into the “Hot Albums” chart, which ranks comprehensive albums excluding singles.

Their second mini album “SUMMER BEAT!” ranked 85th, and their first mini album “Sparkling Blue” ranked 96th, demonstrating their exceptional popularity in Japan. Tours stepped into the music industry last January.

Considering that they achieved a record on the Billboard Japan annual chart before officially debuting in Japan, it is a remarkable feat. The first mini album and the second mini album placed 3rd and 2nd respectively on the Oricon Weekly Album Rankings.

Combined, the cumulative sales of these two albums surpassed one million copies within half a year of their debut. They also appeared on recent year-end special music programs, including Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV’s “Best Hit Song Festival 2024” and Fuji TV’s “2024 FNS Music Festival.”

Tours is currently promoting their first single “Last Bell,” released on the 25th of last month. This single also debuted at number one on Oricon’s Daily Single Ranking on its first day of release in Japan (December 3rd).
