
Val Kilmer, the Hollywood actor who gained immense popularity in the 1990s, has passed away at the age of 65.
American media reported on the 1st (local time) the news of Val Kilmer's death. The New York Times stated, "Kilmer died today in Los Angeles."
The late actor's daughter, Mercedes, revealed that the cause of death was pneumonia. He had been battling throat cancer since being diagnosed in 2014.
Kilmer gained attention for his role as Iceman in the 1986 film "Top Gun," where he formed a rivalry with Tom Cruise's character, Maverick.
He appeared in the sequel, "Top Gun: Maverick," in 2022, showcasing his resilience. In the movie "Batman Forever" (1995), he received much love for playing Batman.
His acting skills were recognized in the film "The Doors" (1993), where he portrayed Jim Morrison, the frontman of the legendary American band, The Doors. This film was recently re-released in South Korea.
