
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is set to dominate the theaters this summer. His new film has topped the reservation rate just five days before its release. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system, "Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning" (directed by Christopher McQuarrie) recorded a reservation rate of 54.4% as of 8 AM on the 12th. This means that one out of every two ticket buyers has chosen to see "Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning" (hereinafter referred to as "Mission: Impossible 8"). As of that day, 99,350 people had pre-booked tickets.
For the time being, it is expected to continue its solo run at the box office. The films "Past the Boundary" (directed by Min Kyu-dong), "Opposition" (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk), and "Virus" (directed by Kang Yi-gwan) have only achieved reservation rates of 4.9%, 4.7%, and 4.6%, respectively.
"Mission: Impossible 8" is the eighth installment in the "Mission: Impossible" series, continuing the storyline from the previous films. Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) and the IMF struggle to prevent the apocalypse.
This installment is produced on the largest scale in the series' history, featuring intense action sequences that traverse land, sea, and air. Expect an entertaining bundle of action.
Meanwhile, "Mission: Impossible 8" is set to be released in South Korea on the 17th.
