Missing Person Found Dead After 5 Hours at Dongbaek Bridge in Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do
A man in his 30s, who went missing at Dongbaek Bridge in Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do, was found dead after a search effort by the Coast Guard and fire authorities.
According to a report from the Seocheon Fire Station on the 10th, a notification was received at around 3:57 AM the previous day from the CCTV control center in Seocheon-gun, stating that “someone fell from Dongbaek Bridge,” prompting an immediate dispatch of emergency responders to the scene.

Urgent Search Operations and Recovery Process
The Coast Guard and fire authorities deployed 20 pieces of equipment, including helicopters and rubber boats, along with 74 personnel to conduct a large-scale search operation.
After approximately 5 hours from the report, at around 8:57 AM, Mr. A (in his 30s) was found deceased in the tidal flat, 400 meters below the wharf.
However, due to low tide at the time of the discovery, access to the area was difficult for the searching authorities, and it took an additional 2 hours before the body could be recovered using a rubber boat.
In total, it took about 7 hours from the report to the recovery of the body. The Coast Guard is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
