Additionally, a special sanitation inspection was carried out, resulting in the discovery of hygiene standard violations and the subsequent fine.

Details of the Controversy Surrounding the Restaurant

In the video, A initially received a notification that solo orders were not allowed and subsequently ordered for two people.

When the food arrived, she began filming and, after turning off the camera, started eating. However, about 20 minutes into her meal, the restaurant owner approached her, stating, “This isn’t a place for just one person,” and “I need to seat reserved guests,” blatantly rushing her to finish her meal.

This left A in shock, prompting her to turn the camera back on. Ultimately, she was unable to finish her food and was seen leaving the restaurant in tears.

As the video quickly spread through online communities and social media, criticism of the restaurant intensified.

In light of the growing controversy, the restaurant owner stated through media channels, “I naturally have a loud voice,” claiming that the YouTuber was taking pictures of the food without permission and was then warned about her tardiness. However, A refuted this, insisting that she had initially asked for permission to film.

Yeosu City's Response and Future Plans

Following this controversy, Yeosu launched a special hygiene inspection and plans to focus on inspecting the cleanliness of ingredients and the hygiene of cooking facilities in various restaurants.

A city official explained, “Although this inspection may seem like an example targeting a specific restaurant, the focus is on improving service,” adding, “We will strengthen kindness training for restaurants across the city and prepare a service manual.”

A shared, “The restaurant sent a heartfelt apology via email, expressing their concerns and sincere regrets,” and noted, “Since they sincerely apologized, I do not wish to continue the confrontation,” accepting the restaurant’s apology.
