Actor Lee Chae-min will be taking the place of Park Sung-hoon. On the 24th, the production team of tvN's new drama 'Chef of the Tyrant' (working title), directed by Jang Tae-yoo, revealed its casting lineup. The cast includes Lim Yoon-a, Lee Chae-min, Kang Han-na, and Choi Gwi-hwa.

'Chef of the Tyrant' is a fantasy romance. The story begins with a French chef who time-slips 500 years back and encounters a gourmet king.

Lim Yoon-a plays the role of chef Yoon Ji-young, who finds herself in the Joseon era on the day she wins a French cooking competition, meeting a tyrant instead of dining at a Michelin 3-star restaurant.

Lee Chae-min takes on the role of King Lee Heon of Joseon, a man with absolute power and a super-sensitive palate that detects changes in taste according to the weather.

Kang Han-na portrays the king's concubine, Kang Mok-ju, whose exceptional beauty elevated her to the rank of royal consort. Her insatiable thirst for power adds tension to their relationships.

Choi Gwi-hwa plays the role of Jeseon Daegun, a member of the Joseon royal family and Lee Heon's strongest political adversary, who poses as a carefree nobleman while seeking an opportunity to dethrone Lee Heon.

The director, Jang Tae-yoo, is known for his undefeated streak in historical dramas, having directed 'My Love from the Star', 'Deep Rooted Tree', 'Painter of the Wind', and 'Flower Blooms at Night'.

The production team explained, "Set against the fictional royal era of Joseon, the series will show characters with different colors and flavors coming together to create extreme synergy."

They added, "Just like 'Tangpyeongchae', which symbolizes harmony, we aim to bring viewers a delightful romance that connects people. Please look forward to it."

Meanwhile, 'Chef of the Tyrant' is set to premiere in the second half of this year.
