JTBC's weekend drama "Lady Ok's Tale" concluded with a perfectly closed happy ending. The final episode set a personal best record of 14%, achieving a beautiful conclusion.
The final episode of "Lady Ok's Tale" aired on the 26th. According to Nielsen Korea, the ratings reached 14% in the metropolitan area and 13.6% nationwide for paid households, marking the highest ratings for both the metropolitan and national standards.
The peak rating per minute was 15.1% in the metropolitan area. The target rating for the 20-49 age group was 5.5% in the metropolitan area, finishing as the top across all channels.
On this day, Ok Taeyoung (played by Lim Jiyeon) uncovered the conspiracy tied to the mysterious disease outbreak. By pretending to be infected, she entered the quarantine village and discovered the secret of Hojo Pansseo Park Joon-ki (played by Choi Jung-woo).
Park Joon-ki had mixed toxic herbs to make pain relievers and intentionally created the mysterious disease. He deceived people into believing it was an epidemic to establish the quarantine village and seized the supplies.
Once all his actions were revealed, Park Joon-ki was abandoned by the Left State Councilor. However, Ok Taeyoung voluntarily remained on the outskirts even after the truth came out, helping ensure that all volunteers in the quarantine village gained their freedom.
Ok Taeyoung was also granted emancipation, thanks to the efforts of the many people she had helped. She spent her days happily at her dream seaside home with Chunsung-hwi (played by Choo Young-woo).
"Lady Ok's Tale" depicted the story of a strong woman who aided those in need despite her status as a servant. It was beloved for its fresh storytelling and compelling direction.
Lim Jiyeon was acknowledged for her solid acting skills, even in historical dramas. Choo Young-woo showcased his versatile charm, moving between two characters, Chunsung-hwi and Sung Yun-kyum.
Lim Jiyeon expressed, "The character was so endearing that I found myself cheering for her even while acting. I was surprised and happy that many people immersed themselves in Ok Taeyoung's life and sent me encouraging reviews."

The follow-up series to "Lady Ok's Tale" is "Negotiation Tactics." "Negotiation Tactics," starring Lee Je-hoon, revolves around the stories of M&A experts and is set to premiere on March 8.
