“The Real Game Begins”… ‘Squid Game 2’ Premieres on December 26th

Netflix series 'Squid Game' Season 2 has confirmed its release date and even gave a sneak peek of the new season's plans. Netflix announced on the 1st, "Season 2 of 'Squid Game' will be released on December 26, and Season 3, which will conclude the story, is set to be released in 2025."

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk expressed his thoughts on presenting Seasons 2 and 3 in a letter, starting with the intense phrase, "The real game begins."

He conveyed his overwhelming emotions, stating, "I am so thrilled and excited to be able to write this letter to inform you of the release schedule for Season 2 and the production news for Season 3."

He continued, "At the ending of Season 1, Seong Gi-hun, who hinted at revenge, returns to participate in the game again. Will he be able to succeed in his revenge as he said?"

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk teased the fierce competition of new contestants that will continue into Season 3. He added, "I will do my best in the remaining work to meet you with a fantastic appearance."

Netflix released a still for Season 2 of 'Squid Game' that day, featuring the main character Lee Jung-jae (as Seong Gi-hun). He increased curiosity by wearing a tracksuit with the number 456 on it.

Season 2 will continue with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, and Gong Yoo, all returning from Season 1. New cast members include Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-shim, Lee Jin-wook, and Won Ji-an.
