Candidate Lee introduced former leader Heo, saying, "I've wanted to bring her on board for quite a while, but it’s been delayed. She has also served as the spokesperson for the People's Power, and I hope she will realize the true values of conservatism within the Democratic Party."

He also mentioned, “I hope the People's Power quickly regains its senses and returns to a proper conservative stance, though it doesn’t seem easy for the time being, and we might need to take on that role ourselves." He referred to former leader Heo as someone who has escaped from that side due to unbearable circumstances.

"Disappointed with fake conservatism, fake reform"… Seeking a new direction

Former leader Heo stated, "As someone who cares about the future of the Republic of Korea, I came out to support Candidate Lee," and added, "I have been a politician who has thought about conservatism longer than anyone else. I started a third party hoping for reform conservatism along with Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate of the Reformist Party."

She continued, "But as you all know, the end of that path was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Both the People's Power and the Reformist Party turned out to be fake conservatism and fake reform. That is why I came out to propose a new direction."

She explained, "The reason I could be here today is because the public continually voiced their demand for an end to civil unrest, and secondly, because Candidate Lee has shown consistent leadership."
