‘BTS’ Jin has returned with new music and received praise from international media. On the 15th, Jin released his first solo album ‘Happy,’ which contains sincere stories about happiness and the wish for everyone to be happy.
The English publication ‘NME’ revisited Jin’s past interviews, explaining, “It shows how significant ‘happiness’ is in his heart.” They noted that he aims to show a bright side, adding, “He often talks about the support and happiness received from fans.
The album title was a natural choice.” The review mentioned that all tracks on the album “embrace brightness while acknowledging shadows, understanding the value of darkness for true joy.”
The media also praised ‘Happy’ as “essentially a record of encouragement,” stating, “It captures the joy of finding happiness and delight in everyday life.”
The American ‘Teen Vogue’ commented, “With his first solo single ‘The Astronaut,’ Jin promised an eternally shining universe. Now he is ready to fulfill that promise.”
‘Rolling Stone’ similarly interpreted it as “a piece completing the second chapter of BTS,” adding, “It fits the puzzle of each member’s creative journey.”
There was also feedback on the title track ‘Running Wild.’ It was described as “a song that perfectly matches Jin’s bright and lively charm.”
‘Consequence of Sound’ noted, “When releasing the pre-released track, Jin said, ‘My goal is to bring happiness.’ He seems to have achieved this goal.”
In an interview with ‘Billboard,’ Jin expressed, “As a creatively grown artist, he has shown his ability to explore new musical horizons.” Jin reflected on the significance of ARMY (fandom name) and shared how much he missed them during their time apart.
Meanwhile, Jin will appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on the 21st at 1:35 PM (KST) to showcase his new song.
