“The late Kim Sae-ron’s family accuses Kim Soo-hyun of sexual abuse since middle school… Files lawsuit for violation of Child Welfare Act” (Full text)

The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has filed a lawsuit against actor Kim Soo-hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act and for false accusation.

On the 7th, at a press conference held in Gangnam, Seoul, attorney Bu Ji-seok from the law firm Bu-yu represented the family's position and announced the lawsuit.

Attorney Bu claimed, "Kim Soo-hyun engaged in lewd behavior or sexual harassment towards the late Kim Sae-ron since she was in the winter break of her second year of middle school."

Additionally, a whistleblower assisting the family, referred to as Person A, was allegedly offered billions of won in exchange for evidence but was threatened after rejecting the offer. Person A reportedly faced a life-threatening situation after being attacked with a weapon.

Earlier in March, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron shared photos of skinship between Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased, alleging that they had a relationship while she was a minor.

In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side denied the claims as false but later stated, following the release of additional photos, that "Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron have been in a relationship since the summer of 2019 until the fall of 2020, after she became an adult."

Furthermore, Kim Soo-hyun's side asserted their innocence and announced that they are pursuing a defamation lawsuit for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, seeking 12 billion won in damages. Additionally, they revealed that they have filed an extra lawsuit against the press conference organizers for violating the Stalking Punishment Act.

Meanwhile, the press conference began at 2 PM, and further facts are expected to emerge, causing a ripple effect.
