The movie 'Inside Men' is becoming a series. Actor Song Kang-ho has confirmed his appearance.
Hive Media Corp announced on the 12th, "Song Kang-ho will appear in director Mo Wan-il's new work 'Inside Men' (tentative title). The movie will expand its universe and be produced as a series."
'Inside Men' is a project based on the universe of the webtoon and movie of the same name. It tells the stories of events and people that span through South Korea in the 1980s and 1990s.
Song Kang-ho will play veteran journalist Lee Kang-hee. Lee Kang-hee is a figure who devises and organizes the schemes that move Korean society. In the original movie, the character was played by Baek Yoon-sik.
Expectations are high for his irreplaceable ability to bring characters to life. He has shown his strong presence in several blockbuster films, including 'Parasite', 'A Taxi Driver', 'The Attorney', and 'The Host'.
Director Mo Wan-il will be at the helm. Director Mo has proven his detailed directing skills through the Netflix series 'In the Forest of No One' and the drama 'The World of the Married'.
The script will be written by Lee Gi-cheol. He has previously written films such as 'Escape from Mogadishu', 'Assassination', and 'The Thieves'. The film is expected to deliver a seamless story and immersive pacing that captivates the audience.
Meanwhile, 'Inside Men' is currently in pre-production. It aims to start filming next year.
