Actress Park Ji-ah has passed away. She was 52 years old.
Billions announced on the 30th, "We are heartbroken to deliver this sad and unfortunate news. Park Ji-ah passed away today at 2:50 AM after battling a cerebral infarction."
The deceased's wake will be held in Room 2 of the funeral hall at Seoul Asan Medical Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The funeral is scheduled to take place at 10 AM on the 2nd of the next month.
The agency stated, "We will forever remember the passion of the deceased, who loved acting until the very end. We express our condolences and wish for the deceased to rest in peace."
Park Ji-ah debuted in the 2002 film "The Coast Guard." She subsequently appeared in "Breath," "Epitaph," "Masquerade," "Hijacking," and the drama "Bloody Heart," among others.
She also performed on stage and was a member of the theater company Chaimu. She showcased various plays including "Creeping Chaimu-Yangdukwon Story," "The Winner," and "Wife."
In particular, she left a deep impression as Moon Dong-eun's mother in Netflix's "The Glory." She played Jung Mi-hee, who neglects her daughter, raising awareness about domestic violence.
