TWICE has topped the Billboard main chart and shared their special thoughts.
Billboard released a chart preview article on the 4th (KST), announcing that TWICE’s new mini album ‘With YOU-th’ clinched the No. 1 spot on the ‘Billboard 200’.
This marks a career high, as it’s the first time they’ve reached the top of this chart since their debut. Their first entry into the chart was in 2020 with ‘More & More’ at 200th place, making this achievement a reality after 2 years and 8 months.
They have set a new record for the most entries by a K-pop girl group into the ‘Billboard 200’, with a total of 7 works listed, including ‘Eyes Wide Open’, ‘Ready to Be’, among others.
Their rankings have consistently risen, starting from 200th place (‘More & More’) to 72nd (‘Eyes Wide Open’), 6th (‘Taste of Love’), and 2nd (‘Ready to Be’).
Including solo albums, a total of 9 works have charted in the ‘Billboard 200’. Nayeon’s ‘Im Nayeon’ reached 7th place, and Jihyo’s ‘Me’ ranked 14th.
TWICE expressed through their agency, “We are truly happy and grateful that a dream has come true. It still doesn’t feel real that our new album has reached No. 1.”
The driving force behind their growth is their fandom ‘ONCE’. “It’s our 10th year since debut this year, and being able to achieve such results is all thanks to our fans. We want to continue moving forward together.”
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on their fifth world tour. They will be performing at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on the 16th, Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan, in July, and Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa.
