Teenagers Involved in Vehicle Theft and Escape Incident
Police are pursuing teenagers who stole another person's vehicle, crashed into several cars, and even hit a police officer.

According to announcements from the Gyeonggi Province Siheung Police Station and others on the 7th, around 2:40 a.m. that day, a boy identified as A stole a parked vehicle from the roadside in Ilsan, Goyang City.
A drove the stolen vehicle up to the vicinity of Oido in Siheung, where he caused a major accident by consecutively colliding with five stationary vehicles.
After the accident, A abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot but soon stole another nearby vehicle to escape. In response, the Siheung Police sent a request for cooperation to the Ansan Danwon Police Station, which dispatched officers and discovered the vehicle around 5:16 a.m.
Police issued a stop order to the vehicle, but A and another teenage passenger inside ignored it and continued to flee.

During this process, one police officer present at the scene was struck by the vehicle.
Fortunately, the officer was transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be not seriously injured.
Police are currently tracking the route of the vehicle that A and others were in and conducting apprehension operations.
Various charges are expected to be applied, including vehicle theft, violations of the Road Traffic Act, and obstruction of justice.
