On the 12th (Korean time), Swift appeared in the trailer for 'New Heights' and announced the release of her 12th studio album, 'The Life of a Showgirl'.
In the podcast, she was joined by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. She opened a white briefcase and took out the new album, although the album cover was not revealed.
A pre-order page for 'The Life of a Showgirl' has been created on her website. The new album will be available in three formats: LP vinyl, cassette tape, and CD.
Specific information regarding the new album will be released in phases, and the official release date is still undecided. The product details page notes that shipping is expected before October 13.
'The Life of a Showgirl' is the first album Swift is releasing after acquiring the rights to her first six albums’ catalog. She is reported to have signed a secret contract worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Meanwhile, Swift is the artist who has topped the Billboard album chart the most times in a year. Last year, she became the first artist in Grammy history to win 'Album of the Year' four times.
