Actor Takuya Kimura and Ok Taekyeon are challenging for a Michelin 3-star.

The movie "Grand Maison Paris" will meet audiences next month through Lotte Cinema, continuing the emotional journey of the TBS drama "Grand Maison Tokyo." The drama encapsulated the passion of chefs striving for Michelin stars.

"Grand Maison Paris" is set against the backdrop of Paris, the home of gastronomy. It portrays the intense challenges faced by chef Obana, who has been labeled a two-star chef for years, as he and his colleagues aim for the pinnacle of fine dining. The film realistically captures actual famous restaurants in Paris and the local culture. Chef Kei Kobayashi, who was the first Asian to earn a Michelin 3-star in France, participated in the supervision, enhancing the culinary presentation.

A drama has been woven into the delicate world of gastronomy, aiming to captivate the audience's senses. The film led the box office in Japan, drawing 960,000 viewers in its opening week.

The direction is handled by Ayuko Tsukahara, who has received acclaim for her well-made works. She directed Japanese dramas such as "Unnatural," "Print It!", the "Grand Maison" series, and the film "First Kiss."

The screenplay is co-written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has penned numerous megahits, including "Liar Game," the "Grand Maison" series, and the "Kingdom" series. The cast also includes the main actors from "Grand Maison Tokyo."

Takuya Kimura leads the film, playing the genius chef "Obana Natsuki." Obana is an individual with a dictatorial personality who bets everything on achieving a Michelin 3-star.

Kyouka Suzuki takes on the role of "Hayami Rinko." Hayami is a person with an absolute palate who helps Obana make a comeback. Other actors include Ikki Sawamura and Mitsuhiro Oikawa, showcasing teamwork.

Additionally, Korean actor Ok Taekyeon has joined the cast as "Rikuan," a new pastry chef in "Grand Maison Paris," who finds himself in debt while researching desserts.

The launch poster features three golden stars symbolizing the Michelin 3-star. The tagline "Completing the most perfect course in the home of Michelin" hints at their fierce challenges and passion.
