Actress Suzy and Lee Jin-wook are coming with a breakup story.
The production company announced on the 7th, "The film 'Breakfast Meeting for the Broken-hearted' (directed by Lim Seon-ae, hereafter 'Breakfast Meeting') wrapped up filming last month."
'Breakfast Meeting' is based on a novel of the same name. It tells the story of men and women suffering from heartbreak. Filming started in December last year and concluded last month.
Suzy plays the role of flight attendant Sa-gang, who falls in love with captain Jung-soo (played by Yoo Ji-tae). She adds delicate acting to a realistic story.
She expressed, "I was happy to work with a good director and actors," and added, "Reading the original novel, which I found interesting, and seeing it being adapted into a film gave me mixed feelings."
She continued, "Just as I found moments of comfort while playing Sa-gang, I hope the audience also finds warm solace through the film," revealing her affection for the character.
Lee Jin-wook portrayed consultant Ji-hoon, who goes through a breakup after a long-term relationship with teacher Hyun-jeong (played by Geum Sae-rok). He thoroughly depicted the emotions of an old lover.
Regarding the completion of filming, he confessed his complex feelings, stating, "I feel both happy and regretful. I was able to gain positive energy."
He also left a message: "I tried to express the emotions of a breakup while playing Ji-hoon. I hope the audience feels warm empathy and comfort."
