"The Boyz" Sunwoo stars as the protagonist in a campus romance.
Mnet's "My Artie Film" announced on the 16th, "Sunwoo will appear as the lead in the first episode." Two posters featuring sweet romantic chemistry were also released on the same day.
Sunwoo and Jung Da-bin completed a picturesque two-shot. They were shown sheltering from the rain and standing under a streetlamp, reminiscent of iconic scenes from the movies "The Classic" and "La La Land."
A noona-dongsaeng romance is hinted at, with the phrase "Noona, you're so pretty" written at the top of the poster. An official commented, "Look forward to the chemistry between Sunwoo and his peer, Jung Da-bin."
Sunwoo will portray a fresh-faced college student, a younger man who straightforwardly pursues his unrequited love. An official explained, "He completed the chemistry with Jung Da-bin, who has outstanding acting skills and doll-like visuals."
The official added, "Sunwoo is a versatile idol with exceptional dance lines and an appealing look. We thought his youthful energy would fit well in a campus romance setting."
"My Artie Film" is a new cinematic performance content presented by Mnet. Each episode features a different K-pop artist who challenges various genres like romance, comedy, and thriller.
It combines K-pop and film in a unique collaboration. Dance performances reinterpreting iconic movie scenes with the artist's unique color are integrated into the project. There are also plans to open a theater.
Meanwhile, the first episode of "My Artie Film" will be released on the 30th at 9 PM on Mnet and Mnet K-Pop's YouTube channel.
